PBIS
In an effort to create a positive learning environment for our students, Fort Hill High School utilizes PBIS (Positive Behaviors Interventions and Support) as part of our school wide discipline policy. PBIS is a proactive approach to school-wide discipline designed to reinforce the positive behaviors of students who are doing what is expected of them as well as reinforcing students who may need extra support to reach the school-wide expectation of:
Preparation, Respect, Integrity, Diligence, and Empathy.
Our school motto is "We Have Sentinel PRIDE!"
Just as students receive direct instruction for academic subjects, they will receive instruction on the appropriate behaviors that are expected of them in their various settings during the school day (classroom, cafeteria, etc.) Students will be recognized for displaying the five key behaviors. Students may be recognized for these behaviors in the classroom, the hallways, cafeteria, or any other area on the school grounds.

Fort Hill High School PBIS will crate a positive learning environment whereby students will achieve individual excellence and success through displaying PRIDE expectations.
Positive Office Referrals
Each teacher will be sent an ema8il from administration that contains the link for the completing positive office referrals. Upon completion of the form, a ce4rtificate will be created and an administrator will call a parent to inform him/her about the positive behaviors being exhibited in the classroom, reading the comment that the teacher wrote about the student. In accordance with PBIS interventions, teachers are encouraged to complete a positive referral to reward behaviors that we want to commend.
