Extended Senior School
Extended Senior School is available to current senior students that are 1-3 credits short of graduation requirements. Students will have the opportunity to continue coursework at their homeschool in order to earn these credits and participate in the Summer 2026 graduation ceremony. Please contact your school guidance counselor for more details. No cost to students.
Credit Recovery Summer School
The Credit Recovery Program allows students to make progress toward graduation by recovering credits for courses previously attempted without a passing grade.
The program occurs throughout the school year as well as an opportunity in the summer.
Eligibility and Requirements:
- Students earning a final grade of 50-59% may participate in Standard Credit Recovery.
- Students earning a final grade of 40-49% may participate in Extended Credit Recovery.
- Students earning below 40% do not meet the minimum mastery threshold and must retake the course.
- Students must complete all assignments on Apex and will receive the grade earned upon completion.
- Attendance is mandatory. Students will be removed at 3 absences.
Credit Recovery Summer Schools runs at all three high schools.
Dates:
June 22 - July 28, Monday - Thursday (no school on June 23 and July 6)
Transportation is provided for bus students.
Breakfast and lunch is provided.
The opportunity is for 20 days.
Students may register for 2 courses. If completed prior to the halfway point, students may register for additional failed courses. We do not limit what they can complete in the 20 days.

Staff Day: 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. unless otherwise stated
Staff Arrival: 8:30 a.m. - Planning or assigned duty
Class:1: 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Lunch: 11:05 a.m. - 11:25 a.m.
Class 2: 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Dismissal 1:30 p.m.
Teacher Planning 1:30 - 2 p.m.
Original Credit Summer School
All ACPS students entering grades 9-12 for the '26'-27 school year. Course are open to students who are enrolled for the first time. The following courses are available: Physical Education, Art Appreciation, Foundations of Technology, Health II, Personal Financial Literacy.
